Trip to Dog Cafe

When I first went to Myeongdong, I've seen a mascot wearing a dog costume. The mascot was giving out some leaflets about the dog cafe. I told myself that I shall go there before I leave Seoul.

The entrance fee costs 8,000 won. It includes a free drink.

We were asked to put our things in the cabinet under the chair. (for safety)

After drinking, we start roaming around the cafe. 

 

They provide pink and blue blankets that can be used during the interaction with the dogs.

I don't really know how many dogs are there. I think it's enough for all the customers.

Well, some dogs prefer to be alone. 

Some dogs choose their customers by smelling their shoes.

Some dogs are clingy, and some are snob.

Customers just sit on the floor and wait for dogs to sit on their lap.

Aren't they adorable?

Before leaving, you can use some rollers and spray to remove the furs from your clothes.

How to go there:

Take a subway to Myeongdong Station. (Exit 6)

Walk Straight, then turn right in the Nature Republic Shop.

Then when you see the Skinfood shop, turn right. 

You'll see the Dog Cafe on the left side. It's located on the fourth floor. 

Trip to Dongdaemun Design Plaza

My trip to DDP is not really planned. I just saw the LED Rose Garden in my Instagram newsfeed so I tried to check it out in person. 

I've never seen a garden with LED lights until now. It's beautiful but I think it's overrated. There's nothing much to do than to take pictures of fake roses with lights on. LOL.

I was more amazed with the structure of the Dongdaemun Design Plaza. It's really futuristic. I must say that this  building is one of the best buildings I've seen in Korea. 

How to go there:
Take the Subway to Dongdaemun History and Culture Park

Admission is free! 
However, the LED Rose Garden isn't available for the whole year.

Trip to Hello Kitty Cafe

Every little girl's dream is to visit a place filled with Hello Kitty!

Everything is pink which makes it pretty.

We ordered all! Hihihi!

You can have photoshoot while waiting for the orders.

We were lucky because there are few customers when we got there. 

Even their restrooms are filled with Hello Kitty stuff! 

These were taken at the entrance of the cafe. People say that the Hello Kitty Cafe in Hongdae is better than Myeongdong. I will check it out next time. :)

Admission is free but you have to order. Duhh! HAHAHA!

Trip to Seoul Museum of Art

SeMA showcases variety of special exhibitions with Korean artists and international exhibitions that show the trend of art outside the country and also expanding the base of art culture through the "Communication through Art" projects. 

When I went there, they're featuring Stanley Kubrick's life works. Stanley Kubrick is one of the most influential directors in film history, famous for his innovative cinematography. 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968), now regarded as a benchmark for special effects, shows strikingly realistic visuals, so much so that it is hard to believe that the film was produced before the first moon landing. With ceaseless experimentation, challenges, and ground-breaking ideas, Kubrick produced films like A Clockwork Orange (1971), Barry Lyndon (1975), The Shining (1980), Full Metal Jacket (1987), and Eyes Wide Shut (1999) that remain as crucial films in cinema history. 

This place is heaven for instagram millennials!

I honestly have no idea about the films featured in this exhibit. 

But I enjoyed seeing some stuff like the Oscar's trophy and other movie props.

Well, some of the things there are really provocative and some are creepy!

How to go there:

Take a subway to City Hall Station (Exit 10)

and follow the road signs. :)

Admission:

Fees are depending on the exhibits. When I went there, the ticket costs 13,000 won.

Trip to Namsan Seoul Tower

N Seoul Tower is Namsan's most famous tourist attraction where visitors can enjoy a view of Seoul.

Some people use the stairs to go there, but I chose to ride the cable car. 

A round trip ticket costs 8,500 won.

I went here to see the love locks. I wasn't disappointed. They're really adorable!

There are lots of attractions at the top of the tower: alive museum, teddy bear museum, observatory, restaurants, and cafe.

This concludes my experience at the tower.

How to go there:

Take subway line 4 to Myeongdong Station (Exit 3) then walk 10 mins to the Namsan Cable Car.

Admission:
It's free but if you want to go the observatory, you have to pay the ff:

Adult: 9,000 won
Teenager: 7,000 won
Senior: 7,000 won
Child: 5,000 won

There are also admission fees in the museums.
